Course overview

This half day workshop will equip staff with the necessary skills required to effectively prepare for their annual performance review. There is a strong emphasis on the communication skills required to have an effective performance discussion as well as the opportunity to practice writing performance objectives.

  2. Understand the importance of performance reviews including the Trust timetable for completion and responsibility 
  3. Know the benefits are of doing an appraisal 
  • Provide an overview of the review process and why we do it 
  • Explore how staff should prepare for a review meeting 
  • Apply the SMARTR acronym when creating performance objectives
